UK recall on cooked pig’s ears

UK based European food importer, Monolith (UK) Ltd, recalls boiled-smoked vacuum pig’s ears, due to Listeria monocytogenes found in the product.

Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle pain, chills, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. In rare cases, the infection can cause serious complications, such as meningitis.
